MDV Health plans to increase its appointments for medical professionals by 50% by the end of the year, the company announced Tuesday.
The company’s MDV Medicine and Health Plan (MDMHP) said its appointment system will have more than 3,000 physicians and doctors practices in addition to more than 1,200 appointment locations.
MDMHP said it will increase its physician appointments by 1,100 by the middle of next year, and by 3,500 by the second half of next decade.
MDV said the increased appointment levels are necessary to ensure physicians have access to their services.
“This will allow MDV to meet the demand of physicians, as well as the health needs of our patients,” MDM HPP Chairman and CEO Tom Dolan said in a statement.
“This will also allow MDM to deliver the MDV service to our patients who have limited time to choose a doctor.
We look forward to continuing to drive the pace of our commitment to patient satisfaction and our efforts to meet demand.”
The company said MDM will add a physician to its patient portal.
