How the NHL’s Minnesota Wild are shaping up to get a top goalie in the draft

By Matt LascuaroMinnesota Wild forward Alex Tuch is slated to be the first overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.

But there are some questions surrounding his draft stock.

Minnesota Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher is expected to make a big deal about Alex Tchichyk in the next couple of weeks.

Tchikyk is one of the draft’s top prospects and has a lot of upside, but he is not an experienced goalie.

The Wild are not a franchise with many top-level goaltenders on their roster.

TChikyk, who will be 20 years old next season, could have the best chance of being a top pick in next year’s draft.

Minnesota’s draft board is filled with NHLers with a good shot at making the draft, but the Wild need to find a goalie who can help them win games and stay healthy.

Tchikys draft stock is currently sitting at 14th overall.

That number could change after Fletcher makes a big move and he is the favorite to be selected by the Wild.

Fletcher will not have a lot to lose by selecting Tchikhyk in his first draft in two decades, which could make him an intriguing prospect.

In his first year with the Wild, Tchiyyk was named the League’s first star of the year and was named to the All-Rookie Team.

He led the league in goals and points in 2016-17.

He has a very good shot to be a top-six goalie in Minnesota next season.TChikhyk is 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, and has the speed to go to the net.

He also has the ability to skate well and change speeds on the rush.

TCHIKY CAN GOAL: Tchyk scored seven goals in 16 games with the Minnesota Wild this season, including two in Minnesota’s two-game sweep of the Chicago Blackhawks.

His first goal came on March 10 against the Boston Bruins, and his third came on April 8 at the New York Rangers.

He had three assists in five games that month.TCHIKKY CHANGE OF POSITION: TCHikhyk has spent most of his career in the NHL as a forward.

He played a number of different positions with the Buffalo Sabres from 2006-10, and spent most years as a left-shot defenseman with the Carolina Hurricanes and Chicago Blackhawks from 2012-14.

He spent most last season with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, and was a regular with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2015-17 and with the St. Louis Blues from 2017-18.

He has a great shot and can play center and left wing.

His biggest issue has been his shot.TCHAIKY HAS A GOOD HEAD: TChikhy is known for his hard work ethic.

He’s a great teammate and teammate to all of the players on the Minnesota team.

T CHIKY SAYS HE NEEDS MORE TOGETHER: T CHIKKY HAS HAD A LOT OF ACCESS TO THE GOALIE CHANCES.

If he doesn’t get a good spot with the team next season he could be a player who goes in the top five.

T CHIKKY NEEDS TO GO BACK TO BEING A HERO FOR THE WINNING TEAM: TCHAIKKY IS VERY QUICK TO START AND LEAVE HIS MOM IN THE DUTY.

TCHAKY HAS TO BE A REAL HERO AND GOALY TO HAVE THE BEST YEAR OF HIS CAREER.
